rosemary obsession

My rosemary obsession is continuing. Its surprising that there are so few rosemary’s grown here in Albuquerque. It seems that the only rosemary’s grown here are ‘Tuscan Blue’, ‘Arp’, and ‘Prostratus.’ Here is a list of rosemary’s that I’ve seen available. Each has its own qualities, although it is hard to discern in a small potted plant. Above is my newly purchased 'Irene'.

With this many, why are there only three commonly sold? And this is only from three nurseries: Goodwin Creek Nursery (www.goodwincreekgardens.com), The Thyme Garden (www.thymegarden.com), and Papa Geno’s Herb farm (www.papagenos.com).
