jo@o: yes, that's Penstemon linarioides (one of the various versions in my garden). I'm not sure if I stopped by, but I was in Scotland this past summer.

Cool photo! (No pun intended.) I like how it looks like the foothills of the mountains. BTW, I love your avatar photo & your blog name. My blog's name was also inspired by my battles with rabbits, but a fox recently moved into the neighborhood, and it's become my new best friend. I haven't seen any rabbits recently. Maybe you can buy fox?

The snow looks like a heavy coating of powdered sugar on Indian fry bread (a fried donut/pastry. Yum:)
