hail

Lots of hail and unseasonably cold weather. Might mean that my eremurus won't bloom this year. Sigh.

The photos make it look like a nice soft fluffy snow. But it wasn't. They were frozen little BB's pelting the plants.

I think the tender shoots of the deciduous Agapanthus survived though.

    Arrrgh!

    We had 3 seperate snow pellet or snow showers Fri AM. That's it - I'm moving to Tucson!!!

    Looks like one of the Eremurus is putting out spikes, but who knows if the flowers will open? The others? Nothing! Bummer.

    Desert Dweller: yep. Except for me, Hawaii. The Bay Area will do.
