goin' down!

It's going down to -11 tonight. Come spring, I might find that my palms have died. Darn, just when they have reached roof height. Other likely/certain demises: ceanothus (almost certain), cistus (likely), calibrachoa (certain), agapanthus (almost certain). Possible demise: rosemary, Osmanthus heterophyllus, some of the lavenders, Cyclamen, Euphorbia characias.

  1. I have a few 'Arp" rosemary, and I'm hoping their reputation for relative hardiness is valid. Fingers crossed for the plants tonight!

  2. Ugh...so sorry...it's so hard when there is nothing you can do...just wait to see what damage was done :-(

  3. Most of your plants have been documented taking such cold here decades ago, and recovered nicely, so you might be surprised. I think you'll be fine!
