The plum blossoms on the trees outside aren't blooming yet, but these are blooming inside the house. About 16 days ago, during the coldest spell, I cut a few branches off the plum tree outside, and brought them indoors for Chinese New Year. I've never forced fruit tree branches before, so I had no idea how it would work. Of course they didn't bloom in time for the event, but it sure is nice now. Another benefit is that the flowers are protected from the intense spring winds that usually blow the petals off the outdoor blooms.
