blooming

Not much blooming, although there's finally some warmer weather.

The Ipheion struggled with the cold, and is putting out only a few flowers. Here's 'Rolf Fiedler' which has put out only a couple of flowers:


And here's 'Wisely Blue':
Strangely, although 'Wisely Blue' fared better in the cold, the color of the flowers changed, so there seems to be a bit of brown in them. I thought they were fading already, but in fact, they had just opened.


I planted this viola in January, and it survived the -5 degree temperatures. It reminds me of a litter of kittens, all looking out.
